Sloan Museum of Discovery

Peter Hyde Design provided exhibition design for the Sloan Museum of Discovery’s reimagined History of Flint, MI, and Vehicle City Galleries. Tenacity: Stories of Transformation in the Vehicle City celebrates the people, history, Native culture, economy, natural environment and industry of Flint, Michigan. Visitors are led along the Flint River to interact with stepping stones that trigger stories from local residents while they explore hundreds of objects from the museum’s collection. In addition to the interactive media elements, visitors and students can also engage with multiple non digital interactives providing additional insight into Flint’s history.
