The new Welcome Center building on the grounds of the Baha’i House of Worship was built to provide a welcoming link between the House of Worship, the neighborhood community, national and international visitors- Baha’i and non-Baha’i.

Peter Hyde Design conducted an intense workshop with the U.S. Baha’i National Center including department heads and outside advisors to develop a report for the new Welcome Center built on the site of the Baha’i North American House of Worship in Willamette, Illinois. The report provided planning for content, exhibits, interactives, graphic way-finding, schedules, budget and overall visitor experience. Upon completion of the report, the client contracted Peter Hyde Design to execute the first phase of installations including exhibition graphics, way-finding, and consultation on visitor experience.

The content provides an overview of the foundations of the Baha’i faith for the interested visitor, the remarkable history of the design, and building of the landmarked and monumental architecture of the House of Worship.
